About this video
How much can a small box of books bring to a neighbourhood? Little Free Library began in 2009, when Todd put a book-sharing box outside his home in memory of his mother, a teacher. The invitation was simple: take a book and leave one for someone else if you can.
The idea grew into a worldwide movement. Local volunteers look after the boxes, while neighbours keep books moving between readers. Sharing access to books becomes a small, everyday way to contribute to a common space close to home.
